Dawn Foods recently celebrated its 90th “birthday” with a celebration at its headquarters in Jackson, Mich. The event was the first in a yearlong series of events to take place at Dawn locations around the world.
“Ninety years is a significant milestone,” said Carrie Jones-Barber, Dawn’s C.E.O. “We work in a wonderful industry and have the opportunity to create amazing products that help people celebrate life’s important events every day. That makes it even more special when we get to celebrate our own important event.”
Courtney Clark, owner of Cake Nouveau, Ann Arbor, Mich., created a three-tiered anniversary cake adorned with a giant chocolate-iced donut to commemorate Dawn’s beginning in donuts.
“It was a perfect symbol of the day and our anniversary,” said Miles Jones, Dawn’s co-chairman.
“Celebrating 90 years is a milestone we have achieved because nobody takes better care of our customers than Dawn people,” said Ron Jones, Dawn co-chairman. “If it weren’t for our customers we would not be experiencing the success we have today. We are thankful for every loyal customer who has honored Dawn with their trust and business over the years.”
