As announced last year, Dawn Food Products, Jackson, Mich., is moving forward with plans to increase efficiency and enhance manufacturing capabilities. The company will close its Crown Point, Ind. plant in phases during the next several months, eliminating about 160 positions.
Dawn is focusing on improving manufacturing efficiencies, aligning resources to best meet Dawn's customer demands, optimizing and reducing shipping costs and eliminating redundant costs throughout the organization.
