At the heart of Europain 2012, the Intersuc exhibition will bring together everything the confectionery profession has to offer, and will inspire creativity through competitions.
With more than 39,000 sq. ft. of dedicated space, the Intersuc exhibition will bring together exhibitors specializing in chocolate, confectionery, packaging and retail space development.
The Collections Intersuc will recognize and reward the most innovative creations in confectionery, chocolate, biscuits, snaps, pastry, presentation, packaging and display accessories.
In addition, various competitions will showcase chocolate as an artistic centerpiece. At the Mondial des Arts Sucres, organized by DGF, mixed gender pairs from 16 countries will demonstrate a piece of chocolate work, three miniature cakes (one chocolate, one pistachio and one fruit), three chocolates (one fruit ganache, one praline and one free choice) and a piece of sugar work.
At the Coupe Europe, a selection round for the Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie, European pastry chefs will create nine identical plated desserts involving chocolate, as well as an artistic chocolate centerpiece.
The Paris area selection round for the World Chocolate Masters, organized by Barry Callebaut, will see six candidates compete to create an artistic chocolate centerpiece, two sweets and a dessert based on the theme “Weightlessness.” The winner will compete in the National Final in October 2012.
