The French Culinary Institute of California (The FCI), located at The International Culinary Center, today announced that students who enroll and complete the Classic Pastry Arts Program at the California campus beginning June 2 (midday) or June 17 (evening) will receive a confectionery adventure to New York City, the founding location of The French Culinary Institute.

Following graduation these students—along with their classmates—will be whisked off to one of the world's sweetest food destinations, New York City. Four days and three nights of pastry experiences will give students the opportunity to connect to the place where The FCI story began more than 25 years ago. Students will partake in a number of experiences only The FCI can provide including an exclusive pastry demonstration at The FCI's NYC Culinary Amphitheater, dinner at L'Ecole, the restaurant of The French Culinary Institute, a tour of Jacques Torres' legendary chocolate factory, a tour of a cake designer's studio and visits to favorite FCI food stops including leading resources for baking supplies and equipment, Chelsea Market, and the Union Square Greenmarket.

The Classic Pastry Arts curriculum at The FCI teaches students everything from pate a choux to sugar pulling while highlighting the delicate balance between artistry and science within the discipline. In as little as six months (by day, or nine by night), students experience the program's hands-on, Total Immersion(SM) teaching method that provides them with the skills, confidence and solid foundation needed to excel in the industry.
