Jarosch Bakery Inc., Elk Grove Village, Ill., reopened its doors on July 24 after a nearly three-week-long remodel of the bakery’s retail area.
As part of the remodel, a new cake display case and was added to highlight Jarosch’s custom decorated cakes, with a dedicated area for cake consultations. Flat-screen TV monitors were mounted behind the counter show rotating images of bakery products, with interspersed video showing how several products are produced and alerting customers about promotions and specials at the bakery. Other upgrades include new refrigerated cases, walls, lights, paint, wallpaper and ceiling panels.
Father/son team George and Herbert Jarosch opened Jarosch Bakery with their wives, Kathe and Betty, in 1959. The bakery currently is owned and operated by Ken and Kathy Jarosch and has more than 50 employees.
“Customers love the new layout,” said Kathy Jarosch in a press release. “We have had only favorable comments about the new look of the bakery. Our goal, as always, is to continuously improve the service we give.”
