La Boulange has opened a new downtown location in the Merchant Exchange Building in San Francisco’s financial district.
The location’s 1,624 sq.-ft. dining room aims to serve customers on the go while maintaining a French boulangerie-style atmosphere. Online ordering and office catering will become available in the new year.
The now location comes on the heels of the bakery’s expansion to downtown San Francisco in September (read the article here).
La Boulange, which is part of the Bay Bread Group, has expanded to 15 locations since it first opened in 1999. The bakery has an ambitious growth trajectory planned for the coming year, according to a press release.
“It is very exciting to see how well we have been received. People all over the Bay Area are asking us when we'll open near them," owner and baker Pascal Rigo said in the release. “Creating a memorable experience for our customers is our highest priority. They’ve shown us they want more La Boulange and we’re committed to giving that to them.”
