Modern Baking magazine named Katherine Martin chief editor and Matthew Reynolds managing editor.
Modern Baking, with editorial offices in Chicago, is part of Penton Media, a global business-to-business media company that produces market-focused magazines, trade shows and conferences, and online media.
Martin joined Modern Baking in 1998 as an assistant editor after graduating from Sweet Briar College, Sweet Briar, Va., with bachelor’s degrees in English/creative writing and history. She subsequently was promoted to associate editor, managing editor and senior managing editor.
Reynolds began working for the magazine in 2006 as an assistant editor and was subsequently promoted to associate editor. He holds a master degree in journalism from Roosevelt University, Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Reynolds previously worked for Billiards Digest magazine and The Kenosha News.
